What a great way for our family to start the new year:
John and Jenny arranged to rent a large home in St. George for our family’s lodging during our gathering for Cleo and Taylor’s January 9 wedding. Joseph stayed in California and looked after Carla’s menagerie, but Ginger brought Sophie from Massachusetts, Judy brought her children, and all of Cleo’s other siblings and any spouses and children came. The home included lots of recreational activities, including indoor and outdoor pools, table games, and a theater. It was cold outdoors, but that didn’t keep everyone out of the outdoor hot tub.
The wedding was in the St. George temple. After, everyone wanted pictures with the lovely bride.
A reception followed at a nearby LDS chapel in Santa Clara. We helped setting up tables and chairs and, later, taking them down.
We were surprised and delighted during the reception when our friends Ty and Mounie from our ward in California unexpectedly walked in.
When the bride and groom changed out of their wedding clothes, somebody decorated Taylor’s car for him.
Cousins reacquainted.
