On Thursday, Ginger drove us and her children to Hanover, New Hampshire, the home of Dartmouth College. It was wet from a light rain. Local parking was scarce, but we eventually found a vacant metered spot that allowed us enough time for lunch and our quest.
Our goal was to see the first edition Book of Mormon there.
We entered, kids and all, and the kind librarian set us up to examine the book in the main reading room.
Here it is:
We made a serious examination of the Book.
I also found interesting this first edition of the college literary journal:
Concluding our examination, in the square fronting the library, we passed the construction of the structure that would underlie the annual Dartmouth bonfire that weekend.
We didn’t return for the bonfire. But it’s worth seeing:
Lunch was at the local Subway, and then a rainy drive back to Massachusetts.
For the evening’s dinner, we called in for some pretty good BBQ take-out from Blue Ribbon BBQ of Arlington that Elliott picked up on his way home from work

Wow, that bonfire is huge!!
