Carla and I took some time off to visit Utah, celebrate Elizabeth’s birthday, and meet Taylor’s parents. We drove up on Monday, October 26. The next day, Elizabeth’s birthday, we had a tasty lunch with her at Maria Bonita<\/a> in Orem and also visited with John’s family.<\/p>\n

Wednesday, Carla and I searched the Murray cemetery for some of her ancestors. We found some.<\/p>\n

Back in Orem that afternoon, I bought some Red Wing<\/a> work boots. That night, we ate\u00a0with Cleo at Sweet and Savory<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Thursday, we explored Springville and environs, and ended up at the lovely\u00a0Hobble Creek Golf Course<\/a>.\u00a0That evening, we met the Rasmussens for dinner with Cleo and Taylor at Carvers\u00a0<\/a>in Sandy, and enjoyed good company and the food.<\/p>\n

We drove back to California the next day. Roger was there for the Hallowe’en weekend, and we treated ourselves to dinner from The Habit Burger Grill.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
