At the ward sacrament fast-and-testimony meeting Sunday morning, the bishop presented Ruby for a welcoming vote from the ward membership, and had her and another 8-year-old baptized with her share their testimonies.
Then, during the testimony-bearing portion of the meeting, Ruby remembered some things she forgot to say and so went to the stand and shared her testimony again, along with Max, and their grandmother Carla. That’s the first time I’ve seen someone stand to bear their testimony twice in the same meeting.
After the Sunday block of meetings, we met again at John’s, with Cleo and Elizabeth over as well. As a new member, Ruby had made up her mind to fast, and fast she did even though she was miserable and had to lay down. Fortunately, Jenny had let a pork roast cook that Carla bought the day before, and Ruby was fine after a late dinner.
We enjoyed our final day with family in Utah.
Sadly, we had to leave early the next morning to return to California, as I had a court appearance to make Tuesday in Riverside. Traveling weather was still good. We enjoyed our visit and being able to be part of Ruby’s baptism.
Enjoyed all these updates Dad! Thanks for posting.
